POWER.VPN · VPN PRIVACY EXPLAINED

Protect the connection to the VPN endpoint.
Routed websites usually see the server’s public IP.
Signed-in accounts can still identify their user.
GOOD TO KNOW
Practical details for your next connection.
A VPN encrypts traffic that passes through its tunnel between your device and the VPN server. It changes the route and the public IP normally seen at the destination. It does not remove the need to trust the provider and the software you install.
Signing in to an account still tells that service who you are. Cookies and other identifiers can also persist. A VPN does not erase browser history stored on your device or automatically sign you out of websites.
Malicious downloads, compromised accounts and deceptive websites need their own precautions. Keep software current, use unique passwords and review requests for personal information. Treat promises of total anonymity or protection from every threat carefully.
